The Evolution Of Monster Trucks
Shows featuring monster trucks, or jacked up trucks, have become a popular sports event for those who love extreme vehicles. These event feature a variety of monster trucks that compete in various events like car jumps or car crush and mud racing. This was all started by one guy and his creation of the first jacked up truck.
Bob Chandler, a construction worker from Missouri, decided to modify his pickup after hearing about an idea that was proposed to the Army. The idea was to provide steering capability to both axles of the truck. Bob decided to try this on his own truck using military axles and he ended up creating Bigfoot, the first monster truck.
At first he would take his truck off-roading on the weekend. Then he soon learned that the local auto parts stores didn't have the parts he needed to repair his modified truck. So with the help of his wife and friend he started his own truck supply store.
He used his truck to promote the store, then in an effort to draw more attention to his business he entered Bigfoot in a truck and tractor pull. Bigfoot, with it's raised clearance and monster truck tires, made an impression and started drawing bigger crowds. Things really took off when he performed what was meant to be a joke and what may be the first car crush ever. It was done in a farmers field with permission from the farmer. That was the start of a whole new form of entertainment.
Since then the monster truck genre grew and has become increasingly popular. Now you can go to arena shows all over the country to see multiple monster trucks racing, crushing cars or even spitting fire. Enthusiasts work to make the trucks and tires bigger and more unique in one way or another. Some go strictly for size and the visual wow factor, and some focus more on the performance or extra features, like spitting fire.

We All Need Car Parts Eventually
You would think that operating a car would be a fairly simple procedure. You simply start the cars engine by turning the key, then carefully steer it along the road to get to your destination. If only things were quite that simple, but they are not.
Instead we have to keep the car filled with fuel, and keep it tuned so that everything works perfectly. This is not always cheap or easy, and cars are likely to let you down when you least expect, or need it. So unless you decide to put your car parts on your Christmas Gifts 2011 list, you need to budget for them through out the year.
This can be done by trying to predict how much your next service bill is going to be, if you have had a certain car for any length of time you will have some idea how much it will cost for a standard service.
But if not, you may end up with a big bill, and this will soon lead you to realise that a car is very expensive, not like a toy car you get as a top toy for Christmas 2011. You know the days when that was what you wanted and there was no worry if you bashed it up because they are cheap. When you own a real car it is very much more expensive, especially when you need new car parts.
Create a Home Business from Your Love of Cars
If you're really into cars, meaning you live it, breathe it, work on your car in your spare time, read the latest car magazines, can almost tell what type of car is about the turn the corner just by listening to the engine, then perhaps you can create a home business out of it. There are tons of home based business ideas but the best ones are the ones that have to do with what you love, your passion. If someone looking for advice on cars were to search for a site, do you think they would want to read a site from some guy who just read about cars online or someone who's life revolves around cars?
So how can you actually make money from your knowledge? One thing you can do is to check out other sites that are already in the same niche. See what they sell. See what they do and how they do it. Put your own spin on the things that you like. You can offer advice for fixing up cars. You can recommend car parts by doing reviews on the most popular brands and models. There are plenty of things you can do in this niche in order to make money. Who knows, if your sites get big enough, you may even be contacted by a big car company or car magazine to do some sort of partnership project.
Decorations for Halloween
Every year I have to reassess my ideas for Halloween decorations. That's because the age of the neigborhood kids really affects how scary my Halloween ideas can be. For a while we had toddlers and I just decorated the yard in inflatable dinosaurs. My husband and I dressed up like Fred and Wilma Flinstone.
Well the toddlers are tweens and the Twilight vampire saga is all they are talking about. So the Halloween decor has a decidedly Victorian vampire and steampunk vibe about it.
But first we pay homage to Twilight and we'll have two candy buckets one for Team Edward and the other for Team Jacob. So the tweens can vote for their favorite heart throb. My front door will have a creepy Victorian door kocker and there'll be a Halloween door mat that plays creepy organ music when you step on it. I've found some easy-to-use Halloween window decals that have vampire profiles on them as well as candelabras and spiderwebs. So from the oustside our house will have haunted house look.
In the foyer I'll only have candle light from candlelabras and some assorted skulls. Of course my husband and I will be dressed in vampire Halloween costumes complete with fangs.
